Aether Ward

A standing ward against the aether: within its circle, Aether Chests and their kind fall silent.

  • Tier block × 2
Every T is the same block, and that block’s Tier sets the rune’s strength.
  • Optional cell × 8
Leave it empty or place a block here; the rune wakes either way.
  • Air or a Tier 0 block × 8
Leave these as air, or fill them with Tier 0 blocks such as dirt or stone.
  • Activation block
The glowing cell is the one to click.

  • Emerald Block × 1

How it works

The Aether Ward is the broadest of the wards. Inside its sphere, every rune except the wards themselves stays cold, and magic already at work goes quiet. It covers every ward category at once, along with Aether Chests and Reliquaries.

Raise it to make a magic-free zone, such as an arena or a spawn town. Its sandstone stairs set it apart from the other wards.

See Wards for raising, radius, chains, and lowering. For a narrower ward, pick one of the nine others, such as the Danger Ward or the Teleport Ward.

Configuration

These are the defaults in plugins/Runic/runes/aetherward.yml. Every rune file also carries the shared settings described in Rune files.
