Stillwater

A calm-field that forbids water and lava to flow while it stands raised. Nothing is converted — only stilled.

Pattern

  • Tier block × 1
Every T is the same block, and that block’s Tier sets the rune’s strength.
  • Air or a Tier 0 block × 8
Leave these as air, or fill them with Tier 0 blocks such as dirt or stone.
  • Activation block
The glowing cell is the one to click.

How it works

Stillwater is a calm-field for flood control. Right-click the soul torch to raise it, and water and lava within its sphere stop flowing and spreading. Every liquid keeps its blocks and its kind: the field stills them in place. Stillwater settles for 16 blocks — floods and lava halt.

Right-click the torch again to lower it, and liquids flow as before. Breaking the Tier block heart ends the field for good. A raised field stays raised through server restarts.

The Tier block heart sets the radius, from 16 blocks at Tier 1 to 64 at Tier 7.

Tips

  • Raise Stillwater before draining or building under the sea, then lower it when the work is done.
  • For freezing water into ice, see Freezer.

Configuration

These are the defaults in plugins/Runic/runes/stillwater.yml. Every rune file also carries the shared settings described in Rune files.
