Teleporter

Carries you to the Waypoint sharing its signature. The first touch forges the link and turns the signature to stone; every touch after is travel.

Pattern

Hover a tile to name it. Reading pattern diagrams explains the symbols.

5 × 5, one layer. Drawn on the ground, on a wall, or on a ceiling, facing any direction.

T↑TTTTTT←T≠T→TTTTTT↓T
  • Tier block × 16
Every T is the same block, and that block’s Tier sets the rune’s strength.
  • Signature block × 4
Each arm holds a Tier 1+ block other than the Tier block, or stays empty (air or Tier 0). Read by compass direction, the arms spell the rune’s signature.
  • Any block except the Tier block × 1
Any block at all, apart from the block the T tiles use.
  • Air or a Tier 0 block × 4
Leave these as air, or fill them with Tier 0 blocks such as dirt or stone.
  • Activation block

How it works

A Teleporter carries you to the Waypoint that shares its signature. Build it anywhere with the same four signature blocks as the Waypoint, each in the same compass direction.

  1. Touch it once to forge the link. The signature blocks turn to stone. The teleporter drinks the signature and waits.
  2. Touch it again to travel. The world folds around you.

The Teleporter remembers its Waypoint from then on, even with stone in place of the signature. Its Tier must be at least the Waypoint's. The destination waypoint (Tier 4) outclasses this rune (Tier 2) — rebuild it from higher-Tier blocks.

  • Your first runes builds a Waypoint and a Teleporter step by step.
  • A Master Teleporter keeps its signature, so its destination can change.
  • A Genesis pocket is entered through a Teleporter.
  • Travel covers distance, worlds, wards, and landing.

Configuration

These are the defaults in plugins/Runic/runes/teleporter.yml. Every rune file also carries the shared settings described in Rune files.

Teleporter has no settings of its own beyond the shared ones.
