Bow of Translocation

A bow blessing for the impatient: loose an arrow, and be where it lands.

Pattern

Hover a tile to name it. Reading pattern diagrams explains the symbols.

5 × 5, one layer. Drawn flat on the ground, facing any compass direction.

  • Tier block × 1
Every T is the same block, and that block’s Tier sets the rune’s strength.

Leave these as air, or fill them with Tier 0 blocks such as dirt or stone.
  • Activation block
The glowing cell is the one to click.
  • Spent
Cells with a corner mark are used up when the rune wakes.

  • Redstone Torch × 2

How it works

The Bow of Translocation blesses a bow or crossbow. Loose an arrow, and you are carried to where it lands. Each translocation spends one charge.

If there is no safe space to stand where the arrow lands, you stay put. No safe landing space could be found at the arrow.

Tips

  • Fire upward onto a ledge or across a ravine to cross it in one shot.
  • A Teleport Ward cancels the trip inside its sphere, and a Tool Ward silences the bow.

See Travel for the other ways to move.

Enchantment

The enchantment is called Bow of Translocation. Hold a bow or crossbow while you wake the rune.

Items that take it: Bow and Crossbow.
