Lockpick

Binds an amethyst shard that reads the magic you own — types, signatures, and keys, whispered in chat.

Pattern

Hover a tile to name it. Reading pattern diagrams explains the symbols.

  • Tier block × 5
Every T is the same block, and that block’s Tier sets the rune’s strength.

Leave these as air, or fill them with Tier 0 blocks such as dirt or stone.
  • Activation block
The glowing cell is the one to click.
  • Spent
Cells with a corner mark are used up when the rune wakes.

How it works

Lockpick binds an amethyst shard that reads the magic you own. Right-click a block with it, and it lists the magic bound there: its kinds, its signatures, and its keys, whispered in chat. Each reading spends one charge.

The Lockpick reads only your own magic. That magic answers to another hand.

Tips

  • Use it to remember which signature a toggle set or a sensor uses.
  • To share what you have learned, etch a designator's signature into its lore with the Engraver.

Enchantment

The enchantment is called Lockpick. Hold an amethyst shard while you wake the rune.
