Runic Radio

Enchants an ender pearl to a private channel, keyed by the blocks clamped about its heart and the Tier between them.

Pattern​

  • Tier block × 1
    Every T is the same block, and that block’s Tier sets the rune’s strength.
  • Air or a Tier 0 block × 52
    Leave these as air, or fill them with Tier 0 blocks such as dirt or stone.
  • Activation block
    The glowing cell is the one to click.
  • Spent
    Cells with a corner mark are used up when the rune wakes.

    How it works​

    Runic Radio enchants an ender pearl to a private chat channel. The channel is named by the two blocks clamped above and below the Tier block at the heart of the pattern, together with that Tier. Right-click the heart while holding an ender pearl to tune it.

    While the pearl sits in your main hand, your off hand, or your hotbar, your chat reaches only other players carrying a pearl tuned to the same blocks and Tier, at any distance.

    Good to know​

    • Pick unusual key blocks for a channel others are unlikely to guess.
    • A Communications Tower opens a channel to everyone nearby.
    • The radio works with chat plugins such as VentureChat and DiscordSRV, and radio messages stay off public channels. See Integrations.
    • The Engraver can write a pearl's channel into its lore.

    Enchantment​

    The enchantment is called Runic Radio. Hold an ender pearl while you wake the rune.

    Configuration​

    These are the defaults in plugins/Runic/runes/runicradio.yml. Every rune file also carries the shared settings described in Rune files.

    Runic Radio has no settings of its own beyond the shared ones.
