How it works
Ankheg Armor adds leveled plating to Runic armor. Hold a forged elytra, golden armor piece, or chainmail armor piece and wake the rune. The piece rises one Ankheg level, and each level adds one point of armor while you wear it. The rune is spent with each application.
| Level | Cost |
|---|---|
| I to V | One diamond from your inventory each time. |
| VI | A netherite ingot and a netherite upgrade smithing template. |
Level VI is the highest. This piece already bears Ankheg 6 — the plating can grow no thicker.
Good to know
Ankheg levels survive Permanence, which leaves them as they are.
