Power Tool
Blesses a pickaxe or shovel to mine in sweeping waves that follow the vein, using the right tool for the block. The first break is free; extras spend a charge. A click of the tool cycles the depth of the cut.
Pattern
Hover a tile to name it. Reading pattern diagrams explains the symbols.
- Tier block × 4Every T is the same block, and that block’s Tier sets the rune’s strength.
- Air or a Tier 0 block × 9Leave these as air, or fill them with Tier 0 blocks such as dirt or stone.
- Activation blockThe glowing cell is the one to click.
- SpentCells with a corner mark are used up when the rune wakes.

How it works
Power Tool blesses a pickaxe, axe, shovel, or hoe of gold quality or better to work in sweeping three-by-three waves.
- Mining. Breaking a block also breaks the face-connected blocks of the same kind around it, following the vein. Gaps stop the wave. The first break is free, and each extra block spends a charge.
- Depth. Right-click with a pickaxe or shovel to cycle how deep the cut goes, from one block up to fifteen. Power Tool mining rate: 3x3x3
- Trees. An axe fells the connected logs of a tree in one swing, up to 192 logs, with the canopy falling as well.
- Tilling and shaping. Hoe tilling, shovel pathing, and axe stripping also work on a three-by-three patch.
The wave only spreads when you use the right tool for the block: a pickaxe for stone, a shovel for dirt, an axe for logs.
Works with
Power Tool stacks with Smelter, Water Pick, Ice Pick, Farmer's Charm, and Green Thumb.
