Fire Turret
Raises a crystal turret that watches and burns. Its key names the quarry: iron for monsters, gold for the wild, diamond for players, emerald for friends.

How it works
The Fire Turret is a sentry crystal that hurls blaze fireballs at intruders. Hold an end crystal and right-click the key at the centre. The scaffold burns away, and the crystal settles on the key and begins its watch.
The key's material names the quarry:
| Key | Targets |
|---|---|
| Iron block | Hostile mobs |
| Gold block | Neutral mobs |
| Diamond block | Players |
| Emerald block | Friendly mobs |
The turret needs a clear line of sight to its target. Higher Tier blocks reach farther and lock on faster, from 20 blocks at Tier 1 to 50 at Tier 7.
Shielding and exemptions
Only the owner can change a turret:
- Diamond key. Right-click the turret with a player head to shield that player from it. Click again with the same head to lift the shield.
- Iron, gold, or emerald key. Right-click it with an Ovicaptor egg of a mob type the key targets to exempt that type. Click again to target it again.
The turret never targets its owner, or players in Creative or Spectator mode.
Dismantling
Break the key with a pickaxe to dismantle your turret quietly. The Fire Turret falls silent — its crystal is gone. Destroying the crystal also ends the turret, and the crystal explodes as end crystals do.
