Flare

Kindles the open ground around it in fire — the heart's Tier sets how thick the flame falls, the corners how far it reaches.

Pattern​

  • Tier block × 1
    Every T is the same block, and that block’s Tier sets the rune’s strength.
  • Air or a Tier 0 block × 12
    Leave these as air, or fill them with Tier 0 blocks such as dirt or stone.
  • Activation block
    The glowing cell is the one to click.
  • Spent
    Cells with a corner mark are used up when the rune wakes.

    How it works​

    The Flare sets the ground around it ablaze. Wake it, and the pattern is spent as fire falls across the open ground in a ring around it. The Flare kindles — 214 block(s) burn (radius 10, density 3).

    The two kinds of Tier block play separate roles:

    • The heart's Tier sets the density. At Tier 7 every open cell burns, and lower Tiers burn fewer of them.
    • The four corner blocks set the reach, measured outward from the pattern's edge, from 6 blocks at Tier 1 to 18 at Tier 7.

    Quench puts fires out the same way.

    Configuration​

    These are the defaults in plugins/Runic/runes/flare.yml. Every rune file also carries the shared settings described in Rune files.
