Quench

Douses campfires, candles, furnaces, and ordinary fire in a ring beyond the pattern; soul fire stays lit. The heart's Tier sets how surely the flames die, the corners how far it reaches.

    How it works

Quench is the Flare's answer. Wake it, and the pattern is spent as a wash rolls across the ring around it. Campfires, candles, furnaces, and ordinary fire go out. The Quench douses — 48 flame(s) die (radius 10, density 7).

Soul fire and soul campfires are left burning.

The two kinds of Tier block play separate roles:

    • The heart's Tier sets how surely each flame dies. At Tier 7 every flame goes out.
    • The four corner blocks set the reach, measured outward from the pattern's edge, from 6 blocks at Tier 1 to 18 at Tier 7.

    Configuration

These are the defaults in plugins/Runic/runes/quench.yml. Every rune file also carries the shared settings described in Rune files.
