How it works

Heartroot binds a creaking heart into a well of silence. Wake it, and the Tier blocks, pale oak, and sculk are spent. The heart remains.

While the heart lives, nothing inside its reach is heard by sculk. Footsteps, breaking blocks, and other vibrations there never reach a sculk sensor or shrieker. The bound heart also never raises a creaking.

The reach grows with Tier, from 8 blocks at Tier 1 to 32 at Tier 7.

Good to know

• The heart must stay alive. Keep pale oak logs above and below it, so it is never uprooted.
• Breaking the heart ends the silence. The Heartroot stills — its silence fades.

Tips

Build around an ancient city in peace, or keep a sculk farm from tripping while you work.
