Compressor

Binds a chest that packs its own contents tight — sneak-click the bare chest and its clutter is pressed into blocks.

Pattern​

How it works​

The Compressor binds a chest that packs its own contents tight. Right-click the chest once to bind it, and the frame of pistons and redstone burns away.

Sneak and right-click the chest with an empty hand, and its clutter is pressed into blocks: nine iron ingots become an iron block, four quartz become a quartz block, and so on. The pistons slam — 3 stack(s) compressed. A plain click opens the chest as usual.

Good to know​

  • The Compressor follows the server's own crafting recipes, so any item that crafts into a block from a full two-by-two or three-by-three grid of itself is compressed.
  • It works on a Zeerix Chest or a Vortex chest.
  • An Aether Chest or a Michelson-Morley Chest refuses it.
  • Breaking the chest ends the binding.

Configuration​

These are the defaults in plugins/Runic/runes/compressor.yml. Every rune file also carries the shared settings described in Rune files.

Compressor has no settings of its own beyond the shared ones.
