Growth
Binds a composter that hastens (or stalls) the crops around it in a tiered sphere. Richer compost fades toward a steady trickle over time. The scaffold burns away in the binding.
Pattern
Hover a tile to name it. Reading pattern diagrams explains the symbols.
- Tier block × 4Every T is the same block, and that block’s Tier sets the rune’s strength.
- Air or a Tier 0 block × 13Leave these as air, or fill them with Tier 0 blocks such as dirt or stone.
- Activation blockThe glowing cell is the one to click.
- SpentCells with a corner mark are used up when the rune wakes.

How it works
Growth binds a composter that tends the crops around it. Right-click the composter, and the scaffold burns away while the composter stays bound. Crops within reach then grow at a pace set by how full the compost is:
- Empty, the compost stops every crop in reach from growing.
- Filled, from the first layer to the eighth, it speeds the crops, and a fuller composter speeds them more.
The reach grows with Tier, from 8 blocks at Tier 1 to 32 at Tier 7.
Feeding the compost
Food composts as usual. Rich compost fades with time: each Minecraft day, a composter filled above the first layer settles one layer, until it rests at one. A composter you empty by hand stays empty, so the crops stay still.
At the top layer, a right-click empties the compost, without the usual bone meal. The Growth compost settles — the soil rests.
Tips
Empty the compost to hold a field of crops at a chosen stage, for a build or a market display.
Configuration
These are the defaults in plugins/Runic/runes/growth.yml. Every rune file also carries the shared settings described in Rune files.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
decay-interval-ticks | 24000 | Ticks between automatic fill decays while the compost is above level 1. Levels 2–8 lose one fill each interval and rest at 1; fill 0 stays stable. |
Settings by Tier

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
radii-by-tierEffect radius in blocks per pattern Tier (1 = Tier 1 … 7 = Tier 7). | 8 | 12 | 16 | 20 | 24 | 28 | 32 |
