Tri-Sploggle Block

A three-state toggle whose cells also answer a direct click — though a Latch may still seal them.

Pattern

Hover a tile to name it. Reading pattern diagrams explains the symbols.

7 × 7, one layer. Drawn flat on the ground, facing any compass direction.

  • Tier block × 21
Every T is the same block, and that block’s Tier sets the rune’s strength.
  • Signature block × 4
Each arm holds a Tier 1+ block other than the Tier block, or stays empty (air or Tier 0). Read by compass direction, the arms spell the rune’s signature.
  • Air or a Tier 0 block × 12
Leave these as air, or fill them with Tier 0 blocks such as dirt or stone.
  • Activation block
The glowing cell is the one to click.
  • Spent
Cells with a corner mark are used up when the rune wakes.

Keys

  • Piston or Sticky Piston × 6
    spent when the rune wakes
    Takes Piston, Sticky Piston.
    /runic build places Piston.
  • Snow Block × 6
    spent when the rune wakes

How it works

Tri-Sploggle Block forges a designator whose marked blocks remember three shapes and answer one at a time. Right-click a single marked block, and that block steps to its next shape, while the rest of the set stays as it is.

Clicks on these blocks keep working while a Lock or Loggle shares their set. A Tri-Latch Block that is holding shut still seals them. A Latch Block holds these blocks shut.

See Toggles, locks, and phases.
