Zen Master

A wool-and-bookshelf circle that spends its redstone crown, then seats anyone in its tiered sphere on a cushion drawn from its chests. Empty cushions return after three minutes.

How it works​

The Zen Master is a circle of rest. Stock its storage blocks with cushions, then right-click the redstone torch. The redstone crown is spent, and the circle wakes. Zen Master wakes — radius 16. The redstone crown fades. Right-click the top of a block inside the sphere to sit.

Anyone inside the sphere can now right-click the top of a block with an empty hand. A cushion is drawn from the storage blocks and set there, and you sit on it.

The reach grows with Tier, from 8 blocks at Tier 1 to 32 at Tier 7.

Good to know​

  • A cushion left empty returns to the storage after three minutes.
  • Wait a moment between seats. The Zen Master asks for a breath between seats.
  • Breaking a block of the circle ends it. The Zen Master falls silent.

Tips​

Raise one in a garden, a library, or a town square, so visitors can sit anywhere.

Configuration​

These are the defaults in plugins/Runic/runes/zenmaster.yml. Every rune file also carries the shared settings described in Rune files.
