How it works

The Babel Curse scrambles its victim's tongue. Wake it while holding a diamond that already carries a hex. Babel Curse binds to your hexed diamond. Then sink the diamond into a block.

When a player springs the trap, their chat is garbled for a while. Your tongue twists — Babel takes hold. Letters in everything they say are scrambled, and now and then a fully garbled line blurts out after them. When it ends: Babel loosens its grip on your tongue.

Good to know

• It takes hold only of players. A creature that springs the trap spends no charge.
• The Babel Countercurse lifts it early.
